Chelsea have made moves to sign ‘ANGRY’ £50M star – ready to move’. Chelsea have made contact with Harry Maguire over a possible move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
There had been some speculation in the media that CHELSEA are plotting a shock move for the Englishman in the January transfer window as they sought to cover their defensive issues and add another defender to the squad.
A move never actually materialized and it was the Hammers that seemingly made the first move to try and get a deal done, according to many reports, who claimed that the West Ham board contacted Man United over a possible loan deal for Maguire.
Nonetheless, Erik ten Hag wanted to keep the defender for the remainder of the season and rejected the advances of the London outfit, but now Maguire looks set to leave the club.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
According to The Sun , Maguire is ‘angry, shocked and upset’ following his meeting with Ten Hag on Sunday in which he told the 30-year-old that he was no longer United captain.
The report claims that Maguire is ready to leave United this summer and Chelsea are among the clubs that have made contact alongside West Ham, Tottenham and Newcastle United.
SHOULD CHELSEA SIGN MAGUIRE?
Maguire is a real leader – he is a solid defender that never really does anything wrong in a game – he is just done at Man United. He should have left the Red Devils in the January window.
CHELSEA were interested in the January window and are shocked to see that they are once again linked with a move for the big man Maybe a move to a club like West Ham would be better for the man because we cant see him getting into that Blues starting eleven every week.
