Veiga hope Celta Vigo sporting director Juan Carlos Calero has given Chelsea and Tottenham fresh hope of signing Gabri Veiga. The 21-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League following his meteoric rise to superstardom in the Spanish top-flight.
In an interview with Spanish publication AS , Calero insisted that the Spain Under-21 international is not for sale this summer unless a lucrative bid is submitted. The Celta Viego chief said:
"The president [of Celta] expressed it very clearly – he is not for sale, but they are going to look to buy him from us. "It is intuition. From now until the end of the market we do not know what will happen. It may be that a proposal arrives that we have to listen to, but as of today there is none on the table.
"There is a lot of interest, but since he took the leap and did what he did. Today we have the player and he has a return date, July 25. He is excited about his return and we are counting on him."
Wonderkid deal 'confirmed'
Chelsea look set to unveil the signing of another wonderkid after Angelo Gabriel's father prematurely confirmed his son's transfer to Stamford Bridge. The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to west London recently as Mauricio Pochettino looks to further bolster the club with some of the world's most exciting young players. In an interview with Brazilian outlet A Tribuna, as quoted by talkSPORT, he said:
"It’s an enormous happiness without explanation, but with a bit of a heavy heart. "My wife and Idene Dias Damasceno, his mother, will be with him for at least the first six months, until he adapts to the climate, which is completely different. It’s another country, another language, morals. It helps a lot to have two Brazilians on the team."
Osimhen stance
Napoli manager Rudi Garcia has confirmed that Victor Osimhen wants to stay at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, with Mauricio Pochettino in the market for a new striker despite having recently signed Nicolas Jackson .
"Of course I have spoken to him," Garcia told reporters, as quoted by the MEN . "I can assure you that he wants to stay, he is happy to be with us and still wants to do great things."
Last week, Aurelio de Laurentiis also attempted to fend off interest from Chelsea, insisting that Osimhen won't leave unless an 'obscene' offer is submitted. The Napoli president said:
"We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that's for sure. If a more than obscene offer arrives, we will move on and find another top talent, just like we did with [Khvicha] Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen."
